Hola Cottage Fix friends! Well, summer is truck truckin’ along and here on the east coast we’re soaking it in. We’re taking advantage of our local beaches more than ever this year, heading out with picnics on the weekends.  And we just got home from a super fun road trip to the Outer Banks.

I recently got the opportunity to try out a new beach towel from Aurorae. A nice beach towel really does make all the difference when trekking in and out of the ocean waves. Aurorae sells well-reviewed yoga mats and accessories and has recently expanded their product selection to include scented candles and beach towels. When my beach towel arrived, the first thing I noticed was it’s unusual texture. It’s not like a typical terry towel. So I checked to find it’s made of microfiber and is nice and lightweight. It comes in an array of cheerful colors (this is the Sanibel Sunrise) and has a soft plush texture.

To the beach…

So I packed it along to take on our recent road trip to the beaches of the Outer Banks. It was nice and lightweight, easy to pack, and dried quickly in between treks to cool off in the waves. The jellies were out so we were really going in and out often to avoid getting stung, but still stay cool.

It’s sure to get a lot of use over the next couple of weeks.
