walking, running, and a cable knit throw I just can’t live without

Hello there. Ahem…I recently bought myself a little present — tisk tisk. While it may be a weird time of year to add a chunky cable knit throw (that I don’t really need) to the cottage decor, I ordered this from Pottery Barn’s end of season sale. A Pottery Barn sale equals little to no will power on my part. I check from time to time to see if there’s anything on the sale page I just can’t live without, and since this throw is chunkier than any of my other ivory throws, I really, really needed it. Add to cart please!

Cottage Fix blog - Pottery Barn cable knit throwWe are having lots of on-and-off rain mixed with clouds and a peak of sun shining through from time to time. Luckily it hasn’t been raining nonstop all day and I’m still managing to get outside to walk with Paisley and run some tooo. Let’s take a step back, I probably shouldn’t refer to what I do as running. It’s more of a middle aged light jog. Laugh with me guys! Whatever it is, it’s more than I was doing and hopefully will lead me in the right direction of getting into better shape — in case I ever need to run from anything, ya know. Grin.

He’s been using a hand-me-down comforter and pancake pillows for way too long. I was hoping to get his bed all nice and fresh for recovering from the surgery he had last week, but it still hasn’t shipped. Just waiting.

So that’s it for now. Looks like we’re heading into a beautiful weekend, I’ll be in the garden after a nice longish light jog/walk.  Happy Weekend to you all!

Oh…..my……..goodness! I WANT that throw! I have a weakness for beautiful throws too. Thus I need NONE and have WAY too many!!!!! It’s really an obsession like pillows. Have even more of those I’m afraid. I think this is the PERFECT time of year to order a throw like that. You saved a lot of money that way. They are so expensive in the Fall when they first come out! I love your denim pillows too. I just got some and am enjoying incorporating them with my other patterns and white slipcovers. You are ahead of me in the exercising dept. I have been considering joining a gym for a while but just haven’t actually done it. So, I thought I would walk now that the weather has warmed up but we have been inundated with rain for so long now so it’s not easy to do right now. You’re a great motivator though! Need to just go out and DO IT! Btw, I’ve noticed Pottery Barn is slow to ship things too. That’s so annoying. Hopefully, you’ll get that bedding soon.

Me to. I only have a handful of purchases from Pottery Barn, but they are all nice quality. I bought the kiddos Christmas stockings from there about ten years ago and we still use them every year.

Hi Sally, oh yes a good chunky cable knit who couldn’t resist a beauty like this, all cotton it looks to be, and for a throw I am most certain it will fit in year around do to the cotton knit used. I think of all thos cooler summer nights when all the windows and doors are open for entertaining and you just want that extra comfort and there you are with your beautiful throw.

I have severl chunky/chubby knits in my etsy…pillows in lumbar shape and a dark charcoal grey with webs of soft linen grey running through the yarns all of them have sold except the very large 24 x 24 euro feather filled one that I am real close to removing and adding some blacks to my home decor.

I have to mention the wicker sofa and how charming it looks, I love the Mattelasse cushions and flanged dust ruffle added to its design, I love how you chose that fabric, it really added the right aged feel to your cottage.

    See you soon dear.

Hey Dore, Thanks for such a sweet comment. I just checked out your etsy shop and your work is so beautiful. I will definitely be back next time I want to treat myself to a chunky knit. I’m really liking the creams and grays right now, and they also work well with all the blue I already have.

I love that cable knit throw! My cats would take it from me and never give it back. 🙂 You can never go wrong with a great blanket any time of year. Congratulations on your running. I bet your beautiful dog loves it!
