Hola Cottage Fix friends! We’re melting into summertime here on the East Coast and the heat and humidity are right here with us. Honey took last week off and we spent a few days on the Outer Banks of North Carolina sinking our feet into the sand and soaking up the sun. We drifted into deep chill mode enjoying three full days of sunshine, shell hunting, and ocean waves, and then ended the week with a bit of a stay-cation. We really love a good stay-cation around here—cooking, gardening, and sleeping in; trekking to the gym; working in the yard; late wine suppers; and even later pancake breakfasts. It’s not so bad. Wink.
Today I’m blogging in with a few beach get-away photos and some I took around here early this summer.

pps What’s for breakfast? What’s for lunch? What’s for dinner?
Wonderful how your cottage feels like it’s right on the hem of the sea. Such a beautiful post, and funny how the summer brings out the shells in us. I just look some shell photos for my new post, I have been creating with here now for weeks.
Love, love your cottage it adapts to every season perfectly cozy.
Beautiful summer to you my dear, may it inspire the best from you.

Your photos are gorgeous and definitely say “Summertime!” I love having a change of scenery, even if it’s just for a couple of days…and then home looks so good again.
Always love the simple ways you make your cottage look so friendly and inviting.

Such beautiful images Sally! I am so in love with your bedside table!!! It’s so gorgeous with just the perfect amount of chippiness to it:) I agree with you on stay-cations, we do them quite often and they’re always fun and relaxing. But hitting the beach is also a wonderful getaway!
Those beach photos are amazing, Sally. It’s been far too long since I’ve been to a beach, being plopped here in the middle of the country, haha. I like the way you alternated beach with cottage photos. Your staycation sounds like it was perfect.
You live close to the beach don’t you? You’re soooo lucky! I feel like I’ve visited a charming beach cottage near the ocean. Loved your summer pics!
