cottage fix Friday Flower Power

Happy Friday Cottage Fix friends! Cottage Fix blog - Friday Flower PowerWell, it’s been an interesting last week of summer around here that’s for sure. Lots of ups and downs (the downs always suck) all wrapped up into one crazy cottage with one crazy lady distracting herself by foofing and fluffing about. There’s something almost therapeutic about being busy foofing and fluffing this shabby little cottage. Honey laughs as I buzz in and out, move things around, snip flowers from the garden, poof the pillows, and whip this place into shape. It makes me feel better. And then life moves on like it always does.

We have a few medium sized projects on the horizon for fall, a couple of them were on last years fall to-do-list as well. Time just slipped away from us and then we started up with other things. Doesn’t that seem to be how it goes?Cottage Fix blog - rich fuchsia blooms, french basket, and white slip sofa

I treated myself to these deep fuchsia blooms from the flower market earlier this week to warm things up in here. I think they do the trick.Cottage Fix blog - rich fuchsia blooms and a basket filled with crochetAs always, thanks for visiting!

Great basket filled with wonderful throws, and yes, those gorgeous flowers do wonders for lifting the spirits! I know what you mean…puttering around our homes is a terrific distraction, and very therapeutic at times!

Hope to see all your little projects in the works, inside and out, your flowers add richness to the season we are entering.
And again that basket filled with laces and linens looks nothing like a chore, yet ironing them always is….they look pretty just as is piled in its space, and looking very cottage fix.

Thank you dear for taking the time to visit me and your comments always make my day. I am working on a slow laboring armoire, working on all the sand stripping, and replacing the MDF panneling backing to a out door sidding T1-11. Not sure how much sanding I will do to complete the inside, after all the work to the outside I am dreading all the sanding to the inside. Well I may just do a light sand and a wash of paint to mute it down and call it done and aged.

Have a great weekend on heading up your projects.

I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who doesn’t get things done in over a year! LOL! We’ve been needing to paint the inside of our garage for several years now. I thought we might get it done this year, but we still haven’t done it. Hmmmm………. Your deep purple colored flowers are very pretty. Hope they are cheering you up.
