DIY garden lantern

Sunday Fun-day! I guess I’m on a DIY kick! Once I start I just can’t seem to stop, it’s addictive. This is the piece of chicken wire I found on the side of the road a few weeks ago turned lantern. It was really quite easy to make once my hubby hooked me up with some heavy duty wire cutters. I cut the fencing to the length I wanted the lantern to be, you can see in the first picture that I pretty much cut it in half. Then I rolled it in the shape of a cylinder and bent the pieces on one side to hook around the other side. The bottom was then lined with more wire and topped with a little plate. I have been trying to think of something to do with the Autumn Clematis that has gone crazy in the garden. It looks sweet wrapped around the bottom of this pillar candle. You could also make this with new chicken wire and I bet it would look kinda cool!
