Happy Fall Cottage Fix friends! Autumn has made its way to the coast of Virginia with cool crisp air, colorful leaves, and the days growing shorter. After the long humid summer we’ve endured, this is a welcome change for sure.
This is one of my favorite times of year in our town. And although I don’t go all out for Halloween and Thanksgiving decorating, I like a sprinkle of Autumn decorations here and there. Candlelight and flowers are always so pretty this time of year, especially on a dreary day. I usually get some sort of produce that we’ll end up eating. This year I went with pears.
Pears lined up in my dough bowl on our sun porch.
Flowers, pine cones, and candlelight on our living room mantel.
I brought my grandpa’s toolbox back in from out in the garage. I cleaned it up and added a coat of tung oil to help bring it back to life. I filled it with napkins, dinnerware, and flowers. And of course, more candlelight in our dining room.
Hope you’re having a beautiful fall in your town too!
xoxo Sally
