Hola Cottage Fix friends? I’m so excited to be blogging in under sunshine filled skies and cool crisp air. This past weekend was so lovely here, and the ever fleeting sun finally made a grand appearance. It’s been a while, so Farmer Brown and I worked for a bit out in the back garden. I also potted a couple of lavender plants and a Superbena. Superbena is new to me, it’s a verbena hybrid and this shade is called Royal Peachy Keen. It’s a vibrant happy peachy coral.I purchased the scalloped edge pots this past fall at the Home Depot. I couldn’t resist their cottage–y look and they’re supposed to be weather resistant. My last chippy clay pots cracked apart from the elements.
Right before Mother’s Day we worked all day out here on the patio area to get it ready for springtime. Farmer Brown power washed the slate and added fresh sand between the cracks. This helps to cut down on weeds. And I gave the vintage wrought iron table and chairs a couple of coats of white spray paint to brighten them up.
Paisley gets so happy when it’s time to head back out in the garden. I must admit, I’m right there with her!
Thanks so much for visiting!
xoxo Sally
I love that scalloped edged clay pot! Your patio looks so pretty with the white iron patio set and your new flowers. I love iron patio furniture. It’s very southern to me. Mine needs a fresh coat of black paint. I have all the cans ready and waiting in our garage as soon as my husband pressure washes it. Glad that the sun finally came out at your house. I think it left ours and went straight to yours. It has been raining here off and on.
Ahhh, it looks like a heavenly place to spend outdoor time! I love your brick wall and that rusty white cottage gate, so dreamy:) Your flowers are gorgeous and your patio set is sooooo beautiful!
It looks so pretty, Sally. I am envious of the slate patio. Your potted plants will be so gorgeous, and what a good idea to pot the lavender. You are lucky to have such nice outdoor spaces!
Gorgeous! I have been spending quite alot of time outside lately too. However my space is not nearly as gorgeous as yours. You have a wonderful patio area and the new plants add such a great touch to the space. Paisley is just too darn cute!
