If you’re in the mood for something rich and creamy, like I happen to be almost all of the time, have I got a treat for you. Instead of eating the peanut butter right out of the jar, for a change I decided to make a nutritious and somewhat healthy snack loaded with banana and peanut butter goodness. And “oh mama!” was I pleasantly surprised with the rich flavor. It could easily satisfy a sweet craving for something decadent and delicious.
I could totally curl right up on the couch with America’s Got Talent and one of these peanut butter banana smoothies and be one happy camper.
The list of ingredients could easily pass for a breakfast recipe too, especially in the Summer months when you want something cold. I love a cold sweet smoothie on a Summer morning after a long hike with Paisley. I usually feel like I could eat a horse after a walk on the nearby trail, and when we get home it’s not quite lunch time yet. A smoothie always hits the spot.
Peanut butter and banana smoothie
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 scoops vanilla frozen yogurt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
Put all of the ingredients in a blender and give it a whir until its silky smooth. Serves 2 Enjoy!
xoxo Sally
