The sun porch has large windows with shabby chic drapes and brick floors.  There is a small round wooden table with ornate legs and lots of white wicker.  My son often plays his guitar or ukulele in here so there is often an instrument left lying on the wicker settee.

the dining room

The dining room is adjacent to the sun porch and painted soft taupe.  I recently painted the dining room table white and then lightly distressed it. The shabby shutters are found pieces that are put together with vintage hinges.

the kitchen

The kitchen was updated by the previous home owners.  I can live with the cabinets, but my dream is for a farmhouse sink and marble counter tops.  I added shabby chic balloon shades and white pitchers to lighten it up some.  The built in hutch filled with all of my goodies is one of my favorite features of the kitchen.

the living room

The living room is painted the same soft taupe shade as the dining room. Miss Paisley loves to hang out in here on the big squishy sofa. The little piano stool is a temporary coffee table solution.  It looks cute, but it’s not quite big enough for more than one or two people.

a little corner in the office

I painted our office the same shade of taupe as our living room and dining room to create a nice flow between the rooms.  The little wicker chair in the corner can be pulled up to our office desk when two people are working.

the guest room

The guest room makes me happy, I think it’s the soft yellow walls! The wicker daybed was softened up with a new mattress and lots of blue and white pillows. My honey surprised me with the little shabby table for my birthday one year. Yes, I showed it to him ahead of time.

The bricks have been painted white and I’ve added vintage lace curtains to the windows.

the summer garden

I painted this bench with several coats of ivory spray paint to lighten it up.  It has been lightly distressing from the weather over the past year.  We spend time out here in the garden working, planning, and goofing off.

Your home is so so pretty! Love the shabby chic look and you know exactly how to make it work! I just want to sip a cup of coffee while reading a book in that little sun porch! And those brick floors are to die for!
