decorating with autumn leaves for cottage style

Salutations fine friends of blogland! What a crazy weekend we’ve had here in the little cottage we call home. Where life either goes full speed ahead or seems to tick by so slowly that you could watch the leaves change right before your eyes. This weekend we’ve had a bit of both. It was Honeys birthday on Saturday and we’ve had a lot going on with a pizza party and honey out in the yard all day. He spent his […]

shabby chic painted pumpkins, it’s a DIY

Hello there cottage fix friends! I’m blogging in today with what I thought would be a super simple paint-your-own shabby chic pumpkins DIY. Due to unforeseen paint issues these little cuties took me most of yesterday afternoon. I have to admit I didn’t mind in the least, hard to complain about a glorious sunshine filled day spent out in the garden painting pumpkins. No complaints here! fall blooms on the sun porch and a bench

Salutations! How about a bouquet of bright pink blooms and an heirloom bench for a shot of shabby vintage style on the sun porch? It’s a rustic pine bench hand-built by my great grandpa Tipton; how funny that here she is all these years later adding a dose of charm to our sun porch for fall. so how about fall?

Hello there! We have been enjoying some lovely mild and sunny weather here near the east coast which is so nice after the hard rain we had last week. Grin! I tend to drag a bit when it comes to changing […]

the mother-load of treasure

Salutations my treasure hunting friends! How’s things? I’m checking in today with a few shabby vintage goodies from my road trip last week. A couple of my dearest friends and I went on a road trip to Glen Allen, VA to visit an antique shop we’ve been hoping to get to for a while now. Life just gets so busy you know, but we finally made it. Holy cow — we hit the mother-load of treasure, this junk store is […]

breezy lace in the front windows

Salutations! The cottage is feeling a little on the quiet side now that the kids are back in school and I’ve got the place to myself for a while each day.  Good thing I’ve got Miss Paisley to shower me with never ending puppy snuggles whenever I’m willing to sit still for a moment. She happens to be taking advantage of blogging time right now and is here on my lap. She’s a funny little dog! Her kids are so […]
